People also sell the links from the high PR pages. Checking the page rank of a particular page is strongly advisable before someone intend to buy links from it. Do remember the fact that page rank is given to a “page” only but not the full website. It’s certainly possible to give www.yourname.com a PR 10, and www.yourname.com/myname (internal page) a PR 0.
